About the event
We would like to invite you to attend our Shawano Area Forum on Helping Former Foster Youth. For this event, we have invited the local Independent Living Coordinators to speak to us about the challenges, statistics and needs of youth aging out of foster care in the Shawano and surrounding areas. Particularly, they will also be presenting us with practical ways that we can come together to help support these youth! They have told us this area of the state is a "resource desert" for youth aging out of foster care, and they would LOVE to engage the local community on the needs these youth have!
We would ask that you please register for the event, as we will be providing lunch and will need to know how many to plan for. Additionally, please feel free to pass this on to anyone in your church who has a heart to help those in the foster community...or who simply wants to learn more! This is not…
